Saint Eugénie Church

The Church of Saint Eugénie is Port Said’s oldest church and a remarkable historical landmark. First constructed in 1867 on land gifted by the Suez Canal Company, the current building was erected in 1890 on the exact same grounds. The design features a stunning European style that blends Classicism and Neo-Renaissance architecture, complete with striking marble floors and detailed geometric ornaments. In 2017, its cultural significance was cemented when it joined the Heritage List for Islamic and Coptic Monuments.
